The Lesotho Distance Teaching Centre (LDTC) proudly recognizes the remarkable achievements of our learners who excelled in the 2024 LGCSE examinations. These accomplishments are not just a testament to their academic capabilities but to their indomitable spirit and perseverance.

Unlike traditional students, these learners embarked on their academic journey through distance education—a path often fraught with unique challenges. Studying remotely requires extraordinary self-discipline, determination, and resilience. These students had to navigate learning difficulties in isolation, without the daily interactions and support of peers and teachers in a typical classroom setting.

Many are adult learners juggling multiple roles—parents, breadwinners, or workers—while striving to build a brighter future through education. Their commitment to their studies despite these hurdles is nothing short of inspirational.

Study Center Rankings

The study centres in Botha-Bothe, Qacha’s Nek, and Thaba-Tseka have demonstrated exceptional performance, leading the rankings with their impressive results. Mohale’s Hoek and Berea also showed commendable efforts, placing strongly in the mid-tier of the rankings. Meanwhile, Mafeteng, Mokhotlong, Quthing, and Leribe achieved moderate outcomes, though they have room for further improvement. Maseru, with the lowest performance, faces significant challenges that could be addressed through targeted interventions and enhanced support.
